Typical AI workflow
- 1 See something confusing
- 2 Copy text
- 3 Switch to ChatGPT / Claude
- 4 Write a prompt
- 5 Paste context again…
Browser-native · select → understand
WDIMTM is an AI explainer for the moment you hit something confusing on the web. Stay on the page. Select the text. Get a short answer that respects your context — not a generic chatbot dump.
The problem
Most AI tools force a detour: copy, switch app, invent a prompt, paste, wait. WDIMTM is built for the opposite — stay in the flow of reading.
How it works
Page facts + your profile + relevant memories + active lens → a single OpenAI-compatible request → concise explanation, predicted follow-ups, optional memory suggestion.
Uses the selection and nearby text — never the full DOM. Fast, private, and grounded in what you’re actually reading.
Pick Engineering, Investing, Opportunities, Sanity-check… The lens steers framing so you don’t rewrite “explain like I’m a …” every time.
Optional profile + memories shape implications. No forced personalization — if nothing personal applies, you still get a clean explanation.
Chips are derived from the content (and model), not the same three buttons forever. Tap a concrete question; don’t retype it.
Suggestions only. Nothing is saved until you confirm. Inspect, edit, or turn memory off.
Recommended path: OpenAI-compatible BYOK (including gateways like sub2api). No WDIMTM backend required. PromptaaS stays optional for later.
Lenses
A fee switch headline means one thing to an engineer and another to an investor. Lenses encode that without making you prompt-engineer.
Access
WDIMTM owns context and personalization — not your GPU bill. Choose how inference is paid for.
Point at any OpenAI-compatible API: OpenAI, OpenRouter, local models, or your own gateway. One request per explain. Streaming supported.
